I’ve had a chance to work with the principals at Lighthouse for over four years.  I’ve also worked with a lot of companies that compete directly with Lighthouse.  The Lighthouse team consists of very smart guys who speak the language of debt.  They understand the math behind low versus high coupon debt, duration of short versus long term maturity debt, or the nuances between fixed versus floating rate loans, B notes versus mezz debt, enforcing lender rights in a judicial versus non-judicial foreclosure state, etc.  They are knowledgeable about loan or securitization covenants and what they all mean.  If you are a seller, you can trust that they will be able to understand the nuances of each loan and how they can best execute a sale of that asset.  Selling debt is not about contacting lots of potential buyers, but about finding the right buyers and selling the positive attributes of that loan to resistant buyers.  If you are a buyer, you can trust Lighthouse to source other data or information that supports a buyer’s offered price as being fair.  Also, I need to leverage my time so when I need to gain access into places I can’t easily access, I call Lighthouse and utilize their efforts.  Smart people want smart advisers and Lighthouse checks that box.
